Cut Off A Section Of A Peace Lilly

I was pruning the dead leaves off my indoor peace lilly. I accidentally cut off a whole section of leaves. It has a bulb type thing at the base where I cut it off. Can I get this section to grow roots and if so how do I go about it? I have found some articles that say it it possible. But they only go into if they already have roots. This does not have any roots.
