Curling of New Rubber Tree Leaves

Older rubber tree leaves are strong and straight, but newer leaves are curled on the edges and do not seem to grow as large as the older leaves. What could be causing this? The plant is about three years old and has seemed to be happy until this last year. I do add vitamins to it at long intervals – like 3 months.

Curling leaves are usually indicative of too little water. The best way to check is by inserting your finger into the soil (up to an inch) and see if it feels wet at all. If it’s dry, water and, if not, let it be.
