Q.Cucumber and Squash

I have lots and lots of blooms on my cucumbers but they don’t make cucumbers. My squash only has male flowers. I have two squash plants and four cucumbers. They are in 5-gallon buckets because our water is scarce. However, I do water often. Our elevation is almost 8, 000 feet.

There is no sure fire way to make a curbit produce more female flowers, but one method that is rumored to work is to remove the male flowers. This causes the plant to produce more flowers and hopefully, more of those will be female.
