Q.Cucumbers and Tomatoes

Anonymous added on June 3, 2011 | Answered

I’ve planted a small vegetable garden – tomatoes, cucumbers, zucchini, etc. Now I have a lot of flowers on tomatoes and cucumbers, but this year there are no bees or other insects to do pollination (previous years they were plenty). What should I do in this situation? Will any cucumbers grow without insects?

You need to encourage more pollinators into your garden and, if that is not possible, you may want to hand pollinate the flowers. Cucumbers can be pollinated the same as tomatoes. These articles will help you: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/vegetables/tomato/pollinate-tomatoes.htm
