crickets in the garden

I’ve been away for a while and once i got back home, the garden ( grass, bushes, and small trees) need major maintenance, but i found out that there are crickets in them, so what goes first gardening these bushes and plantation or controlling the crickets through pest control as they are all over the garden?
thanks alot

I would, first, manicure the area. The more you take out the less food they have. After you get the plants manageable, you can then begin to eradicate the crickets.
