Crepe Myrtles

My Crepe Myrtles are turning colors after a year or two after planting. Why? I have had red, lavender and pink and most have turned white. I already have white but do so love other colors.

Crepe myrtles, while being one of the “workhorses” of the garden have one quirk. When the flowers open during cool, cloudy weather, instead of opening red, pink, etc, they open white. There is nothing you can do about it, except hope for better weather next year.
