Q.Crepe Myrtle Yellow Leaves with Green Veins
New leaves on our crepe myrtle come out green but after awhile turn yellow, although the veins are still green. These leaves eventually deteriorate and die. We had the same problem last year. It did flower last year but has no blooms as of the end of May this year, although it is growing like crazy.

The tree may be suffering from an iron deficiency. This commonly causes this kind of coloration on the leaves. This normally happens either when the plant is watered too much and the nutrients get leeched away or if teh pH is too high. Test the soil and correct and nutrient and pH issues found when testing. Also, make sure that the soil is not too porous and is letting the water run away too quickly.
