Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comThe previous owner of our home seems to have removed many crepe myrtle trees from the yard. There must be a stump left underground as the crepe myrtle leaves are growing in the yard. I mow them with lawn mower, but they continue to grow above the grass if left alone. How can I get rid of the crepe myrtle underground?

You need to find the stump (or a root) and make fresh cut on the stump, then paint the cut right away with Round Up. This will cause the tree to “suck up” the Round Up into the root system and will kill it. You may have to do it a few times, depending on how big the tree was when it was cut down.
