Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have two red crepe myrtle trees that are twenty feet apart. For eight years they bloomed nice. For the past three years after winter, the leaves come on both trees, then the leaves die, fall off and new buds come, leaves die and fall off. This goes on all summer long. I live in Los Alamos, California. Can you help?

It sounds like you may have a fungus, though it is hard to say which one and many can cause this. Fortunately, most fungus problems can be treated with a fungicide. Treat the trees with a fungicide. I personally like neem oil, as it will also treat for any pests the tree has and is safe for people and pets.
