Crepe Myrtle Leaves Turning Yellow to Red

Our two Natchez white crepe myrtles planted two years ago are blooming. However, the leaves are turning yellow to red and then dropping off. We live in Austin, Texas and all of our neighbors’ established trees do not have this problem. . . nor do our other crepe myrtle trees with pink blooms. There are no aphids and the trees appear otherwise healthy. Is it a nutrient problem?

While a couple years old, they are still considered quite young and could simply be stressed from possible heat. Give them a dose of water and they should be fine unless you notice any other symptoms.
