crepe myrtle bush

My crepe myrtle bush has two types of leaves, . One blooms (smaller one) the other,larger
leaf takes over and grows much taller. What happened

Sounds like you have growth from below the graft line. Prune away anything growing below this point, as it can take over the Crepe.
