Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a crepe myrtle tree that in the last couple of days has been covered from ground trunk to tree top in a cottony web. The trunk and branches are now covered in this thick, white, cottony web. I pulled some of the webbing off the tree and see no insects, no cocoon like material clinging to the web…just the web. What is it and what should I do? This is a tree that is almost as tall as my two story house. Hope you can shed some light on this problem. Thank you.

The webbing may be from tent worms or spider mites. These articles will help with them:
