Q.Crepe Myrtle

Anonymous added on April 7, 2014 | Answered

I purchased to crepe mrytles last year about 10′ tall. This year they started to get their leaves but they seem to be burning up. We’ve gotten plenty of rain this year, plus we have a sprinkler system. Is this from too much nitrogen from the lawn fertilizer?

It is possible that lawn fertilizer is burning the new roots of the trees. When you say they are burning up, what exactly is happening to them? Are they yellowing, just drying up or something else? If you let us know more about how the leaves are damaged, we can better pinpoint what is wrong with your trees.
