Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI live in New England. The garden center where I bought the Crepe Myrtle said to cut down the bush every fall. But I noticed that there are very few blooms on the bush this year. Are we incorrect in pruning way back?

Personally, I only prune back after it is established. Once you get one, or a few tall stalks, then cut everything else off. Leave those and cut them back to the point that you want them to branch. I do not recommend pruning all the way back every year. This can make them hard to control in the future.
