crape myrtle

Question

We bought a crepe myrtle potted plant in hopes to plant in fall. The leaves are turning yellow. We water daily. Do we need to get the planted sooner? Is there a good fertilizer for crepe myrtles we should be using?

A container tree may need watering twice a day if temperatures are above 80 degrees F.
Yellowing leaves can be due to watering issues; too much or too little, pests, disease or stress.
