crepe myrtle tree

I have this old crepe myrtle tree near my front porch. It drops flowers all over my sidewalk, little tiny flowers, which is a mess. Is there something wrong with this tree? It is the one with the funny looking bark, with white flowers.

It sounds like it is ok. Typically these flowers will dry up and blow away, but if it is wet when they fall, they can cause a bit of a mess.
