crape myrtle

Question

i have a crape myrtle that accidently got hit with a tractor and copped the tree 2 foot from the ground. It has new
sprouts but will the main trunks still grow tall?

Essentially your Crepe Myrtle has been 'topped' or severely pruned.
It will grow though it may not be a pretty specimen.
