Crape Mrytle

A crape myrtle was dug up by my brother yesterday and sat out with no dirt on the rootball. Will it still live when it’s planted tonight, 48 hrs later?

Hard to say……….the root hairs have been “abused.” Try soaking it in a bucket of water (in the shade) for a few hours to rehydrate. You may be lucky. I would plant it after soaking and see what it does. If small, I would put it in a pot and water very well until you see some sign of recovery. Complete shade will be best until that happens
