Covering a chain link fence

Our landlord replaced an old wooden fence with an ugly chain link fence. How do I cover it? I live in the high desert with clay soil, and we get a few inches of snow once or twice a year. The fence forms a right angle at the intersection of two roads, and it’s sort of a gateway into the neighborhood.
