Corkscrew Grass

I bought a corkscrew plant in a pot with flowers ,the corkscrew plant was all curly but now its straight grass I did not cut it back at fall could that be the reason it is now straight

Generally you can trim the grass back in the Spring, just before the new growth starts.
As the grass gets longer and taller, you should see the twists and corkscrew effect return.

Perennial Corkscrew grass does need to be well watered.
