Q.Conference Pear Tree Bearing First Fruit But Pears Are Going Black – Disease Or Pest?

Small fruit is appearing for first time – it’s a small tree that has been in place for two years – pears are very small (size of thumb nail) and some are going black as if rotting or perhaps a disease or something is eating it. Seems to be on one side of tree more than other. No sign of any actual pests. Tree itself looks fine – leaves perhaps a little curled? Photos show the pears.
