Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI burn anthracite coal for heat, generating coal dust every day. Can any of this be used for composting? Presently, I use it on the driveway to increase traction, and I’ve noticed in the summer that the grass grows very well where it has been scattered.

I would not recommend putting coal or coal ash into compost. It contains traces of heavy metal that are not healthy.
