composting large amounts in small area

My preschool just started a garden this year. We have harvested many veggies and are now in the process of pulling out foliage so we can plant for spring. Problem is that we have more foliage then space in our composter. We don’t want to just leave it out in a pile, due to our DHS regulations. Any suggestions? I hate to just throw it all away.

If the compost at the bottom of the bin is ready this can be removed and added to the garden providing more room within the bin.

Many towns and villages have a centralized composting site which will accept yard and garden clippings. Perhaps you have friends, family, neighbors or co-workers who would be willing to take it off your hands.

You can invest in a second composting bin.
