Is it safe to compost with leaves that I pull out of our chlorine pool baskets? We are new to gardening but would like to plant a few vegetables next spring and am composting in Dallas, Tx now with leaves and coffee grounds.

Yes, in most cases you can add this material to the compost.
If the material contains seeds from trees or plants that could become invasive, you may want to discard these type of seeds.
