Columnar Spruce needs a prayer

Thank you also to the Saint that maybe able to help me. As stated in the subject header, I have a Columnar Spruce (in a container, approx 5.5 ft tall). We had purchased in late Dec. last year. It was going strong all through Christmas, New Year’s…and then, like overnight, its lower third blasted almost all the needles off. Now I am well aware having these inside for more than a week is not advised. That being said, I live in western Kansas and that means outdoors could also be a bad idea until March. Here is the kicker. I wouldn’t care so much but this was to serve as a Memory Tree we had a mind to plant in memory of my Husband’s daughter, who sadly was killed in an accident only 3 months ago. She was 19 and it’s brutal. I gotta try for this tree. I know it’s not gonna bring her back, but it’s something I thought could stay a little longer after she couldn’t ? Sorry for the story and God Bless/Hug your kids..

First of all let me say that I am deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Lives cut way short are tragic beyond belief…. God bless you and may grace and peace come unto you.

I would recommend contacting the folks at this website, they have helped me more than once and seem to know their stuff when it comes to keeping trees and shrubs healthy: http://www.thetreefarm.com/spruce-norway-columnar [1]

Roseman,
My dearest thanks for your being so very kind and quite helpful to boot! I must apologize for the delay in sending this ‘thank you’ . Update: We were blessed to have gotten the tree planted outdoors and it seems to be holding up to the reintegration/transplant thus far. It has been unseasonably warm until today in fact . It’s needles appear to have ceased in falling . Hopefully it fills them in again on the bottom as recovery progresses nicely . As it stands the poor little scamp has the profile of a troll doll, but it is a happier , healthier one thanks to you Mister???
May God bless you… This really meant a lot …
Amber
