columbine flower plant

They are dead, I can pick it right out of the ground. I see worms inside the roots. What do I do?

If you are lucky they sowed seed nearby and will reappear next spring. Columbine is known to be a short-lived plant, 2-3 years, so allowing it to go to seed or saving some seed yourself is a wise strategy.
