Q.Coleus Plants

Zone 7 | CFJAGCAR added on June 3, 2015 | Answered

I have a lot of shade in my garden. One would think coleus plants are the answer to add some color. I planted an outdoor pot on Saturday and by the following Tuesday I had huge holes in the leaves, especially the top. I even sprayed the plants with insecticide before I planted them. The spray should have taken care of several different kind of bugs. Any ideas?

This time of year the insects are invading our gardens, it's frustrating!

You can try Neem Oil.

Coleus does grow quickly so hopefully you can pinch back the damaged leaves and enjoy new healthy leaves full of color.
