Q.Coconut palms

Zone 33955 | Kathleen Kinneally added on November 17, 2017 | Answered

When our coconut trees were trimmed quite a few coconuts fell into the pond near the building. If they aren’t removed from the water will they eventually sink to the bottom? How long does that take?

Thank you.

This might take a very long time. They float so that when they get carried away by the current they can rest on the shore at a new location to germinate. I would remove them if you don't want them to grow there.
