Q.Coconut Coir & Citrus Trees

Zone BUCKEYE, Arizona | Anonymous added on February 7, 2025 | Answered

Hi. I have 4 citrus trees already potted and planted that are 4 yrs old.(Meyer lemon, clementines, key limes and yellow outside white inside grapefruits) I am interested in using the coconut coir as mulch to be on top of the current soil they have now. Which kind/type should I buy? Would this work out well for my trees so water stays in the trees longer? Look forward to hearing from you

Yes, it makes an excellent mulch. This article tells you how to buy and apply it:
