Clump Crepe Myrtle

Planted red clump myrtle tree (looks more like a big bush) last June and it bloomed from end of July through September. It was beautiful. Had tons of flowers. As of now it hasn’t turned green and has no buds or leaves. Is it too early for it to start budding or could it be dead?

It could be due to weather. Unusually cold weather can damage developing buds. If it suffered from any cold damage, the tree may need to be pruned.
