Q.Cloning aloe from cuttings

Zone 33777-2510 | Anonymous added on January 18, 2020 | Answered

I see aloe leaves for sale in groceries. But they seem to be a large full leaf. Perhaps it would grow but then only one plant. Can they be cut into 4 inch sections, allowed to dry then planted with or without a rooting compound?

thank you
Jim

Because of their high moisture content, it is difficult to root aloe from cuttings. Your best bet is to remove the offsets.
