Q.Climbing Roses In Pacific NW – Kitsap Peninsula

Zone 98368 zip code - hardiness zones 7 - 9, AHS Heat Zones 1-6 | Anonymous added on June 9, 2023 | Answered

Been looking at Rosa Bancsiae for a planter box with trellis to replace a jasmine that has not been doing well. The planter box is in partial sun. 2 questions – will the Rosa Bancsiae be OK in partial sun and will it be OK in temps below 30 degrees (we don’t experience below freezing very often but it does occur). Also, do you have any other rose recommendations for this particular problem or any other blooming plant with a pleasant smell.
