Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI have a number of ungroomed (non-mowable) areas on my acreage – in the wooded areas. Outside of buying livestock, is there any safe way to clear out the dead grass (long – 12-14 inches) so that these areas will look cleaner and be less of a fire hazard?

Thinking that this question might be best answered by your local forest service or agricultural extension office. Goats would certainly be my first choice, but you may consider them livestock instead of pets.
