Cleaning Gourd Canteen

how do i clean my gourd after wax is inside for drinking out of. I now im not suppose to use hot water.

Wiping with a clean rag, and rinsing with a mild soap and cold water will be fine! As long as the water is not hot, the wax will not dissolve.

It is advised to, only, use water in these canteens to avoid the need for harsh cleaning agents.
