Q.Claret Ash losing its new growth

Zone 6232 | Anonymous added on December 5, 2019 | Answered

I have three claret ashes all in a row, planted the same time about 10 years ago. One shot up and is over double the size of the others, it goes into seasons slightly later than the others. The issue is that the new growth on this tree is falling off when the others are bushy and healthy. There is a bit of growth at the top of the tree but the rest is barren as the leaves fall off after a week of growing. Any ideas?

kind regards,
Gabrielle

This can be a sign of a soil infection. The best thing will be to find out the exact cause by having soil sampled. This can be done by your local extension service. This link will help you find the closest one: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/extension-search
