How do I care for my chrysanthmums during the winter

Wait until the foliage has died by itself, then cut it back to near the ground. Then, place light mulch such as straw over it to protect the roots from winter temperatures. Or, if they’re in pots, you can either keep them as houseplants or move them to a cool, dry location like a garage or basement, cut down on watering, and let the pots gradually dry out.
