Chocolate chip plant

Question

I have had this plant for 4 years 1st yr outside in water for smmer where it did well then inside in dirt it has been cant seem to make it happy just when it starts to grow well it will start wilting dont know if i am overwatering or under w as tering should i wTer from the bottom or top am getting ready to give up dont know how or if i should trim it back. Please help

There are many plants with that common name. Do you know the latin name of it? If not, please provide a picture an I can properly identify what plant this is.
