Can you plant chili pequin that you eat in the ground to produce seedlings ?

It is best to buy seeds to plant. Otherwise, you don't know what variety you will grow. If it's a hybrid, it won't come true from seed. Also, it may be treated to retard germination. If the seeds you have are from the native variety you could try growing them. Here is how:
