Cherry Tree Problems

I have a cherry tree that this year yielded lots of cherries. But all the cherries developed some kind of fungus (I think), It started with a black spot at the tip of the fruit that spread to the whole cherry. Can you tell me what the problem is and how to cure it? I used fungicide from my local garden center to no avail. The tree seems to be healthy. It is 5 years old and has grown considerably since I planted it. It gets pruned and fertelized regularly. I would be greatful if some one could tell me what the problem is.
