Cherry Tree Is Sick.Bark Is Split From Top To Bottom.

Is there a sealer I can apply over the split to reduce any further damage. It’s not leaking any sap at this time. Thanks in advance! Lorin Knox

Experts suggest not sealing the crack. It does not help in the healing process. Here is more:
