Cherry Tree Fungus

Question

my cherry tree has this fungus growing on it. I had branches growing the base and after I trimmed them off, I noticed it under the greenery. what kind of fungus is it and how to get rid of it? thanks

Unfortunately, your photos did not come through. I am unable to see the fungus in question. In the meantime, you could try a general fungicide, and pruning infected portions.
