chaste trees cut back

how long does it take for chaste trees to grow? My HOA cut many behind my block wall so that only thick branches remain. Nothing remains that the cones would grow on. They trees are now about half their height.

Fortunately, chaste trees grow back quickly, and they can be hard pruned, even cut all the way to the ground, and still grow back. However, do check over the pruning job that your HOA did to make sure they did a good job. Cut branches should be cut back either all the way (to where they meet the next branch) or to just above a bud, as described here:
