Q.Chaste tree

Zone Grand prairie tx. | Anonymous added on April 16, 2019 | Answered

We planted a 3 gallon chaste tree 3 days ago and watered it well. It has wilted, what could be wrong. We are in the dfw area of Texas and it has been really windy for 3 days with gust up to 40 miles an hour. Would this affect it? Now it is in the 40s and 50s.

Wind will remove moisture from the tree; its leaves, flowers, bark and the soil.
Make sure you water daily for the first few weeks then taper off.
Stake the tree until established.
