Gardening Know How Questions & Answers - https://questions.gardeningknowhow.comI just came in after finding little green caterpillars (1/4″) eating on my big beautiful columbine plant! Half the leaves were missing and they were all over the side that had been defoliated. Anyone know what I can quickly mix and spray on them to get them to leave my columbine alone? I cut away the defoliated parts but I am sure, there must still be a caterpillar that I missed. Thanks!

The standard organic treatment for most pests is neem oil and may work on caterpillars too. In addition, Bacillus thuringiensis, also known as Bt, is effective for caterpillars. These articles should help: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/insects/prevent-caterpillars.htm [1], https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/plant-problems/pests/pesticides/using-bacillus-thuringiensis.htm [2]
