Castor oil and homeless cats

Hi
A skunk expert told me to use a solution of castor oil, dawn dish soap and water to spray around my outdoor cat shelter for a skunk that has been going in there recently. But will it also drive my cats away? I don’t want to do that because they depend on me for food and shelter. Thanks
