Q.starting pumpkins from cuttings
Can pumpkins be successfully grown from stem cuttings? If so, how do I go about planting – same?

In theory, you can as pumpkin vines will grow roots anywhere along the stem, but it is not normally done due to the fact that the vine must be rooted on the plant and then cut off later. Plus, given the short lived nature of pumpkin vines, it is not practical. It is better to grow from seeds. If you really still want to root a pumpkin cutting, bury part of the vine under a mound of soil. Keep it well watered and check every few weeks for roots. Once roots appear, the pumpkin vine can be severed from the mother plant.
