Q.Caring for hibiscus plant indoors

Anonymous added on September 24, 2015 | Answered

Is there any special bug treatment or fertilizer we need to use on our hibiscus plant now that we want to bring it indoors for the winter? Last year another hibiscus that died got a lot of tiny white bugs on the leaves. This new plant is so nice we don’t want the same thing to happen. Thank you for your expertise!

If you are bringing in a potted tropical hibiscus, you can hose it down well with water and cut it back by up to 1/3 before bringing it indoors. Neem oil is a good treatment for any pest issues that you may have.
