Caring for FIG trees?

My Fig trees were bearing abundantly. For some unknown reason, they went into a low bearing phase and I can’t figure out what the reason may be. Any suggestion as to what to do? What I tried:
compost, fertilizer: 234, super-phosphate.

There are several reasons that this can happen and this article will have some suggestions: https://www.gardeningknowhow.com/edible/fruits/figs/fig-tree-is-producing-fruit.htm [1]

That being said, it sounds like it may be an imbalance in the soil. I would have your soil tested before adding any more nutrients to it, so that you can see what exactly the imbalance is. Otherwise, you may just be making it worse. Your local extension service may do soil testing or you can use the UMASS soil labs, They are very inexpensive and you can mail samples in.
