Caring for a Christmas Cactus i

I live in Lake Placid, Florida and I was given the biggest Christmas Cactus I have ever seen in my life and it is tough to keep the temperature in a mobile home at the proper temperature for this plant. It was a lot easier in N.Y. State. The couple that gave me this plant have a regular home. In order to give it bright light, I will have to keep it in the Florida room where it is always too warm. Should I even keep this plant? If I keep it outside — the average daily temp. is between 85 and 95 for the next few months. Can you advise me?

That’s a great size indeed! Keeping it outside should be okay as long as it’s not in direct sunlight (due to the high temps). You can also move it to a less bright area of your home and it will be fine as well. You’ll need to adjust how much/how frequently you water it now that you’re in a different climate.
