Q.care for fig bushes

i cut down bushes to the base. Now they grow really big with lots of green fruit. is cutting to the base the best option?

It sounds like you had some amazing good luck with that severe pruning. Normally, it's best not to prune any more than 1/3 of the tree size, but yours really appreciated being cut way back. Here are our two articles on pruning fig trees.
